Race Summary

TARA'S TOUCH (SAF), outsprinted early, worked her way in four wide, continued four wide when edging closer in the upper stretch, split horses approaching the sixteenth pole and was ridden hard to prevail. SHAUNAVON vied for the lead at once while four or five wide, settled in behind the leaders leaving the backstretch, angled six wide to launch her bid into the lane, reached the front at the furlong grounds and couldn't contain the winner's surge. SINGIT, outrun for three furlongs while racing in behind rivals, came out nine or 10 wide when straightened for the drive and was going well at the end. POLISH AFFAIR, well placed from the outset, raced three wide to the stretch, eased out seven wide to secure room, loomed a solid threat in the final furlong but couldn't produce the needed response. MOCHA QUEEN, outsprinted early and between foes three wide, eased out a bit to move with the winner while inside that one in the upper stretch and lacked a late response. DEWEY'S TRICK moved inside on the backstretch when outrun, eased out three wide for the drive, improved position but couldn't seriously challenge. MISS PENNY FORTUNE sprinted clear early, maneuvered in three wide, made the pace into the upper stretch and weakened. SILVER CROWN, in contention five wide to the stretch, gradually weakened. MS. TRICK OR TREAT, in front just after the start while battling inside of SHAUNAVON, settled in behind pacesetting MISS PENNY FORUTNEE, raced forwardly to the stretch and tired. CONSIGNADA (CHI) angled in early to track the pace three or four wide, edged nearer to the inside for the stretch run and faltered. GOLD VAULT, reluctant to load into the gate, hopped when breaking slowly and was outrun. NATTITUDE faded on the turn.
