Race Summary

CASTLEDALE (IRE) saved ground chasing the pace, moved up inside on the second turn, came out leaving that turn and into the stretch, bid four wide in midstretch, gained the lead while drifting in passing the sixteenth pole and gamely prevailed under some urging. KING OF HAPPINESS a bit crowded at the start, chased outside a rival, angled in off heels leaving the second turn, took a short lead along the inside in midstretch, fought back inside the winner and continued gamely to the wire. FAST AND FURIOUS (FR) off a bit slowly, settled just out from the rail, swung four wide into the stretch and rallied for the show. SINGLETARY forced the early pace outside SPECIAL RING then stalked that one leaving the first turn, bid three deep between horses leaving the backstretch and into the second turn, battled outside WHILLY leaving that turn and into the stretch and between horses in midstretch, then weakened. WHILLY (IRE) broke out a bit, angled in and stalked the pace inside, bid along the rail leaving the backstretch, dueled inside on the second turn, came a bit off the rail into the stretch, fought back between horses in midstretch and also weakened. BUCKLAND MANOR tracked the leaders outside a rival then three deep, bid four wide on the backstretch, continued three deep on the second turn and also weakened. SPECIAL RING sped to the early lead inside, inched away leaving the first turn, dueled between horses leaving the backstretch and into the second turn, fell back some on that bend and had little left for the stretch.
