Race Summary |
|
MISS LOREN (ARG) stalked the pace along the inside,
came out on the second turn and three deep into the stretch, bid outside the
runner-up past the eighth pole, drifted in some in deep stretch while gaining
a short lead and gamely prevailed under urging. GOOD STUDENT (ARG) stalked
the pace a bit off the rail, bid outside the pacesetter on the second turn,
put a head in front a quarter mile out, inched away in the stretch, fought
back inside the winner through the final furlong, also drifted in some in deep
stretch and continued willingly to the wire. HOLLYWOOD STORY settled outside
a rival then a bit off the rail, moved up inside on the second turn, waited a
bit off heels leaving that turn, came out some into the stretch, went around
a rival nearing midstretch, bid along the rail in
deep stretch but steadied in tight a sixteenth from the wire, came out and
bested the rest. PERSONAL LEGEND unhurried outside a rival early, angled in
on the second turn, came out three deep into the stretch and could not summon
the necessary late response. MUSICAL CHIMES chased outside a rival or off the
rail, moved up three deep on the second turn, came four wide into the stretch
and lacked the needed rally. FESTIVAL (JPN) allowed to settle inside, saved
ground to the stretch, came out in upper stretch and was not a threat. BORN
TO DANCE sped to the early lead, set the pace inside, dueled along the rail
on the second turn and weakened in the stretch. STAR PARADE (ARG) four wide
early, stalked the pace outside, dropped back between foes on the second
turn, drifted out into the stretch, gave way and was not persevered with
late. The stewards conducted an inquiry into the stretch run but made no
change when they ruled the trouble to HOLLYWOOD STORY did not alter that
runner |
