Race Summary

T. H. APPROVAL chased outside then off the rail, went up three deep passing the wire to engage for the lead, forced the pace outside ALL THE BOYS, took a short lead into the stretch, inched away in midstretch, kicked clear under urging and held gamely. EXTERIOR off a bit slowly, settled inside, moved up outside a rival on the final turn, came out into the stretch and closed willingly. FITZ FLAG (ARG) chased inside, came out into the stretch and finished well. STANLEY PARK allowed to settle outside a rival, moved up three deep on the last turn, and outside a foe into the stretch, was between horses past midstretch and could not quite summon the needed late kick. GENE DE CAMPEAO (BRZ) pulled his way along toward the inside chasing the pace, split horses into the last turn, continued along the rail, split rivals again past midstretch and finished with interest, then did not return to be unsaddled and was vanned off. ALL THE BOYS chased inside early, went up between foes to gain the lead passing the wire the first time, angled back in and set a pressured pace inside the winner to the stretch and weakened. SPECIAL MATTER allowed to settle outside a rival chasing the pace, dropped back into and on the final turn and also weakened. LINEOUT (NZ) took the early lead and kicked clear on the hill while running the opening quarter mile in :23.21, drifted out into the stretch the first time, angled in and relinquished control passing the wire the first time, stalked inside, dropped back on the last turn and had nothing left for the stretch. Rail on hill at zero.
