Race Summary

ONLY IN PHILLY prompted the pace two wide, moved to a short lead near the five furlong marker, took pressure while under some rating, responded to urging mid way on the final turn, opened up a clear lead three wide in upper stretch then steadily widened her advantage under right handed encouragement. HEAR US ROAR , three wide between rivals attending the pace, pressed the winner around the final turn, came four wide for the drive, altered course to the inside in upper stretch, finished willingly but was no match. LUCKY SLEVIN , forwardly placed off the rail behind a contested pace, was put to urging around the final turn, raced between foes into the lane but lacked a solid response. RUDBECKIA was rushed from the outside to take the early lead, angled to the rail, was headed five furlongs out, remained a presence to the lane then steadily retreated. MAGICAL BROAD lost ground four wide throughout, prompted the pace to the quarter pole then dropped back. CAPE COSMO , rated back from between rivals into the first turn, saved ground in a forward position to the far turn then gave way.

Race Summary

SILMARIL , rated close up while saving ground, angled out around the final turn, rallied to command leaving the three sixteenths marker, edged clear leaving the eighth pole and held sway under a drive. GRANT'S MOON was angled outside of CHRUSCIKI nearing the first turn to prompt the pace, lodged a bid three furlongs out, took a short lead three wide into the stretch, battled gamely and was clearly second best. CHRUSCIKI cleared early, set the pace along the inside, took pressure leaving the far turn, battled to mid stretch then gave way. HE LOVES ME , a bit washy pre race, was urged along off the rail into the far turn and tired. JENNASLILPRINCESS bobbled at the break, chased the pace for a half mile while towards the inside then faltered.
