Conditions: 1 1/16M Dirt. Pimlico Breeders' Cup Distaff H. (Grade 3). FOR FILLIES AND MARES, THREE-YEAR-OLD AND UPWARD. By subscription of $100 each which should accompany the nomination, $500 to pass the entry box, $500 additional to start, with $100,000 Guaranteed, and an additional $50,000 from the Breeders' Cup Fund for Cup nominees only. The Host Association's added monies to be divided, 60% of all monies to the winner, 20% to second, 11% to third, 6% to fourth and 3% to fifth. Breeders' Cup Fund monies also correspondingly divided provided a Breeders' Cup Nominee has finished in an awarded position. Any Breeders' Cup Fund money not awarded will revert back to the fund. Supplemental nominations of $1000 each will be accepted by Friday, May 13, 2005 with all other fees due as noted. Weights Saturday, May 14, 2005. Preference given to Breeders' Cup nominees only of equal racing quality or highest weight assignment (respective of sex and weight for age). Starters to be named through the entry box by the usual time of closing. Trophy to the winning owner given by the Breeders' Cup Ltd. Closed Sunday, May 8, 2005 with 21 Nominations.

Race Summary

SILMARIL saved ground stalking the pace, brushed with PLEASANT HOME when easing out in upper stretch, closed determinedly and was along in time. ASHADO assumed the early lead, set the pace near the rail and was no match for the winner. FRIEL'S FOR REAL lacked speed, swung wide in upper stretch and failed to rally. PLEASANT HOME , three wide on the turns, failed to fire entering the stretch, brushed with the winner near the three sixteenths pole then fell back.
