Race Summary

INDY STORM settled off the rail, advanced four wide under urging leaving the far turn, lodged a bid leaving the eighth pole, took command near the sixteenth marker and edged clear under a drive. HE'S IMPRESSIVE sprinted clear, set a brisk pace along the inside, was collared just past the eighth pole, gave way grudgingly and was clear for the place. EASY RED settled in mid pack and towards the inside, gained some ground under urging nearing the lane, swung out past the three sixteenths pole and finished willingly. WINGED SUMAC , in a bit tight at the break, raced well back for six furlongs, came nine wide for the drive and had some belated action. HE DEVIL , taken to rate off the rail, raced three wide between rivals mid way on the final turn, angled out to the six path in mid stretch but failed to respond. READY TO RAGE , three to four wide around the first turn, made a mild five wide run into the stretch then flattened out. SOUTHERN SENSATION broke slowly, raced three wide early, angled to the rail down the backstretch, continued inside through the lane but lacked a solid response. HAUL AWAY JOE , rated back at the break, was lightly steadied four wide nearing the quarter pole and failed to menace. MAGAZINE saved ground, made a mild advance near the half mile marker, chased the leader around the final turn then weakened. SILVER BROKER lost ground four wide, failed to threaten and had some traffic problems nearing the wire. MIDDLESEX COUNTY stalked the pace while off the rail, was roused leaving the far turn and weakened.

Race Summary

COOL CONDUCTOR stalked the pace, advanced three wide around the far turn, bid for the lead entering the stretch, dueled outside ARTIE SCHILLER and narrowly prevailed. ARTIE SCHILLER pressed the pace outside GRATO RECUERDO, gained the lead entering the stretch, bobbled near the eighth pole and again near the sixteenth pole and just missed. GOOD REWARD , unhurried early, raced well off the rail and failed to rally. BETTER TALK NOW lacked speed, raced along the rail, was steadied lacking room midway on the far turn and came up empty in the stretch. GRATO RECUERDO (CHI) set the pace along the rail and gave way.
