The owner of the winner to receive $90,000, $30,000 to second, $16,500 to third, $9,000 to fourth and $4,500 to fifth. Weights: Sunday, March 27, 2005. Starters. In the event this stake is taken off the turf, it may be subject to downgrading upon review of the Graded Stakes Committee. Race Summary

HONEY RYDER well placed while saving ground, eased outside PRETTY JANE in the stretch, rallied to gain the lead inside the eighth pole and was fully extended to prevail. ELLIEONTHEMARCH reserved after stumbling at the start, steadied to avoid running up on rivals leaving the first turn, raced three wide on the final turn and was gaining slowly on the winner at the finish. PRETTY JANE rushed up to gain the lead on the first turn, set the pace along the rail, responded when challenged by SNOWDROPS down the backstretch and around the far turn, then weakened in drive. BRIVIESCA (GB) taken in hand early, moved up on the clubhouse turn to stalk the pace three wide, continued in striking position into the stretch, then tired. SNOWDROPS (GB) outrun for the lead around the first turn, stalked the pace, made a run racing down the backstretch to reach the leader, contested the pace outside that rival around the final turn, then gave way. COQUINERIE saved ground and failed to menace. STORMIN' DAINA tracked the leaders into the final turn and faltered. (The rail on the turf course was set at 84 feet).
