Conditions: 6F Dirt. Maryland Breeders' Cup H. (Grade 3). FOR THREE-YEAR-OLDS AND UPWARD. By subscription of $100 each, which should accompany the nomination, $700 to pass the entry box, $700 additional to start, with $100,000 Guaranteed and additional $100,000 from the Breeders' Cup Fund for Cup nominees only. The Host Association's guaranteed monies to be divided, 60% of all monies to the owner of the winner, 20% to second, 11% to third, 6% to fourth and 3% to fifth. Supplemental nominations of $1000 each will be accepted by Saturday, May 14, 2005 with allother fees due as noted. Weights Sunday, May 15, 2005. Breeders' Cup Fund monies, also correspondingly divided providing a Breeders' Cup Nominee has finished in an awarded position. Any Breeders' Cup fund monies not awarded will revert back to the fundd. This race will not be divided. Preference to Breeders' Cup nominees only of equal racing quality or weight assignment (respective of sex and weight for age). Race Summary

WILLY O'THE VALLEY was deftly angled towards the inside nearing the turn to gain a perfect stalking position, angled out five wide entering the lane, responded to severe left handed urging, was brushed by GATORSN BEARS in mid stretch and surged clear in the final yards. WITH DISTINCTION forced the issue three wide between rivals, was put to strong urging mid turn, gained a slim lead in mid stretch, dueled and continued gamely to the finish. TAKE ACHANCE ON ME sped to the front, set a pressured pace along the inside, dueled from the eighth pole to the sixteenth marker and continued on well. GATORS N BEARS beat the gate, lost ground four wide attending the pace, drifted out some in mid stretch brushing the winner, shifted out late and faded. ALWAYS NOBLE two wide on the turn, failed to menace. SIR OSCAR , hard used two wide between rivals while pressing the pace, remained a factor for a half mile then retreated. EXCELLENT BAND , three to four wide around the turn, failed to menace. PRIMARY SUSPECT , rated back at the break, saved ground into the lane and failed to respond.
