Race Summary

RUNAWAY DANCER unhurried and angled in early, saved ground off the pace, came out leaving the final turn and into the stretch and closed gamely under energetic handling to win clear. VANGELIS stalked the pace outside a rival, bid four wide then three deep on the final turn, gained the lead outside a rival into the stretch, kicked clear but could not hold off the winner. EXTERIOR angled in and tracked the pace inside, went between horses on the last turn and three deep into the stretch and was edged for the place. CONTINENTAL RED three deep on the first turn, chased outside a rival, continued outside on the final turn and three wide into the stretch and was outfinished. T. H. APPROVAL pulled his way along to stalk the pace a bit off the rail, bid inside leaving the backstretch, put a head in front into the last turn, dueled along the rail but weakened in the stretch. PELLEGRINO (BRZ) angled in on the first turn and saved ground chasing the pace, came out a bit into the stretch and lacked the needed rally. SARAFAN stalked outside a rival, bid three deep leaving the backstretch and into the last turn, battled between horses on that bend and put a head in front but weakened in the lane. DEPUTY LAD took the early lead and set the pace inside, battled between horses into and on the final turn, dropped back leaving that turn and had little left for the stretch.
