Race Summary

PACKAGE STORE unhurried from the break, prompted to action angling 4 wide into the far turn, grabbed short lead inside the 1/4 pole and was set down at mid track, hooked from the outside by GUNNING FOX in mid drive, drifted out under a right handed whip, held on fully extended. GUNNING FOR dropped back in hand, sat patient to the 1/2, roused to action circling wide on the far turn, advanced looming off of PACKAGE STORE from the 1/8 pole, was carried wider bidding all out to wire. ONE NICE CAT rated back off the early pace, advanced from the 1/2 moving up 4 wide on the far turn, loomed a threat on the inside of PACKAGE STORE in upper stretch, lost momentum late finishing evenly. DOC D well placed angling inside early, raced along the rail through the backside, remained prominent skirting through with room along the inside to upper stretch, had no excuse late hanging in drive. NINER'S ECHO raced evenly off the pace, was shuffled back along the inside on the far turn, gave even response in drive gaining some late position. ASK THE LORD taken back early, roused near the far turn, rushed to bid 5 wide gaining into upper stretch, folded up under a drive. PERFECT CUT broke alertly to the front end, set a modest pace racing off the inside, held the lead through the far turn, was worn out at the head of the lane giving way there. SOLO CAT hustled out to go on the early pace, sat off of PERFECT CUT through the backside, loomed 4 wide on the far turn, had enough reaching the lane folded up there. THIRD DAY sent up inside, pursued the pace for a 1/2 mile before folding up. PLEASANT COMPANY rushed wide into the opening turn, lost ground through the backside, empty at the 1/2 mile pole.
