Race Summary |
|
MY TRUSTY CAT settled
in the middle of the pack for a half, steadily gained while four wide to
reach contention on the turn, closed the gap nearing the eighth pole then
outfinished MOLTO VITAin the final seventy yards. MOLTO VITA chased the
leader along the inside for a half, gained a bit from outside on the turn,
made a run to threaten inside the furlong marker but couldn't withstand the winners late charge. PUXA SACO was unhurried for a half,
launched a bid from outside leaving the turn, circled five wide into the
stretch then rallied belatedly in the middle of the track. BENDING STRINGS
was reserved along the rail for a half, angled four wide for room leaving the
turn then rallied mildly between horses. MADCAP ESCAPADE sprinted clear in
the early stages, set a rapid pace while in hand for five furlongs, led into
midstretch then gave way in the final eighth. HEAVENLY HUMOR chased the
leaders while three wide for five furlongs, was in a bit tight between horses
nearing the furlong marker then weakened in the final eighth. SOURIS checked
after breaking in the air at the start, raced well back early, gained a bit
while four wide on the turn, angled to the inside in upper stretch then
lacked a strong closing bid. SANTA CANDIDA (ARG) steadied after being pinched
back at the start and failed to threaten thereafter. JOSH'S MADELYN broke
outward at the start and was never close thereafter. |
