Race Summary

ABSENT FRIEND allowed the pace to go early, ranged up closer on the outside in the second turn, engaged the leader with a sixteenth to run, wore that foe down. MAUK FOUR dueled early inside, shook free of the other speed just after a half, given a breather in the second turn, continued to show daylight past the furlong marker, could not contain the winner, remained well clear of the others. SEPARATO last to leave, raced well back early, advanced four wide into the stretch, just up for the show on the outside. RIVER MOUNTAIN RD settled off the pace, lacked a serious late kick. CROWNED KING saved ground while in the second flight, mild advance second turn, came off the rail drive, came up empty. ARBITRATE staged a steady retreat. SAINTLY LOOK off the rail, no late gain. WALLY'S CHOICE five wide into the stretch, failed to rally. NORTHERN SCENE steadily backed up. DISCREET HERO dueled for a half, stopped.
