Race Summary |
|
CLOCK STOPPER broke
sharply, was allowed to settle off the early leaders while racing three wide,
moved to challenge once straightened into the stretch, caught GATORS N BEARS
leaving the furlong grounds, then drove clear under steady left handed
pressure. GATORS N BEARS away in good order, moved to the fore soon after the
start, maintained his advantage while racing two wide, set the pace to mid
stretch, then gave way grudgingly while clearly second best. SILVER WAGON
came in a bit at the start, was forwardly placed while racing inside, angled
three wide in upper stretch, then lacked a solid
closing bid. SIR SHACKLETON never far back, moved to a challenging position
from between horses late on the turn, swung four wide entering the stretch, then lacked a solid closing response. LION TAMER hopped a
bit at the start, was taken in hand to trail the field, circled rivals to
gain a striking position late on the turn, then had
no response. CAJUN BEAT pressed the pace outside GATORS N BEARS, remained a
sharp factor to upper stretch and gave way readily. |
