Race Summary

SWEET RETURN (GB) took the early lead and set the pace inside, opened up leaving the backstretch, continued along the rail in the stretch and held on gamely under urging. RED FORT (IRE) a half step slow to begin, stalked the pace inside, came out in the stretch, bid outside the winner and continued willingly to the wire but could not get by. VANGELIS stalked outside a rival, went three deep leaving the second turn and into the stretch and bested the rest. DEPUTY LAD close up stalking the winner a bit off the rail then between horses leaving the second turn, weakened in the stretch. STANLEY PARK chased outside a rival or a bit off the rail, came out in the stretch and lacked the needed rally. SARAFAN saved ground off the pace, came out on the second turn and into the stretch and could not offer the necessary response. JUST WONDER (GB) chased outside a rival then along the inside, cut the corner into the stretch and did not rally. CONTINUOUSLY pulled a bit early, was angled to the inside in the chute, came out into the stretch and was not a threat. PELLEGRINO (BRZ) saved ground chasing the pace and lacked a response in the stretch.
