By subscription of $200 each, which shall accompany the nomination, $1,000 to pass the entry box and $1,000 additional to start, with $100,000 guaranteed. The owner of the winner to receive $60,000, $20,000 to second, $11,000 to third, $6,000 to fourth and $3,000 to fifth. Trophy to winning Owner. In the event this stake is taken off the turf, it may be subject to downgrading upon review by the Graded Stakes Committee. Closed Wednesday, February 2, 2005 with 27 nominations. Race Summary

MR. LIGHT (ARG) well placed while saving ground, angled outside the leaders at the top of the stretch, then rallied under pressure to be up in the final strides. HOST (CHI) vied for the lead along the rail with GULCH APPROVAL, drew clear in midstretch but couldn't resist the winner in the closing yards. MILLENNIUM DRAGON (GB) stalked the pace three wide, was outmoved in the stretch, then didn't do enough late. GULCH APPROVAL vied for the lead outside HOST to the top of the stretch, then weakened. SETTLE UP reserved early, steadied in traffic soon after entering the far turn and failed to menace. QUEST reserved early, raced three wide on the far turn and tired. FREEFOURINTERNET was never a factor after being outrun early. SPRUCE RUN tracked the pace, was caught in tight entering the far turn and faltered. (The rail on the turf course was set at 48 feet).
