Race Summary

LIMEHOUSE, well placed in behind horses three wide from early on, was asked for more three furlongs out when maneuvered five wide, came out out farther on the track when straightened for the drive, reached the front at the eighth pole, edged in a bit, was sharply roused and continued under strong hand urging to prevail. SKIPASLEW, lightly bumped at the start by MISSME, was always in good position while tracking the dueling leaders four wide, was put to an all out drive to reach the front just before going six furlongs, battled on even terms while inside the winner in the upper stretch and couldn't match strides late as second best. MISSME leaned in at the break and lightly bumped SKIPASLEW, was taken under wraps and angled inside, moved four wide on the far turn, angled nine wide into the stretch to make a solid run but couldn't sustain the needed momentum. SEEK GOLD, reluctant approaching the starting gate, was blindfolded in order to be loaded. SEEK GOLD settled three wide, edged closer upon going six furlongs, came out between horses five wide for the drive, gained a striking position leaving the furlong grounds but lacked a further response. CONFIRMED leaned in bumping WITH DISTINCTION lightly after the break, moved out five wide to follow the leaders on the backstretch, lost a bit of position coming to the quarter-mile marker, was last for the final furlong and passed tired foes late. ATTACK THE BOOKS, in contention while tracking the pace four or five wide for six furlongs, came eight abreast entering the upper stretch and was empty. DISCREET HERO, away in good order to contest the pace four wide outside of front-running WITH DISTINCTION, battled close up for six furlongs and weakened thereafter. WITH DISTINCTION, lightly bumped at the start, gained a slight edge inside early while battling with DISCREET HERO, drew clear on the backstretch, lost the lead to SKIPASLEW just before going six furlongs and tired gradually.
