Race Summary |
|
SUN KING broke sharp then was taken in hand to set a
moderate pace under good rating, repulsed bids from MEDIGATING and FOREVER
WILD from the quarter pole to mid stretch then was roused left handed once
then right handed three times to shake free and drew off under vigorous hand
urging late. FOREVER WILD stalked for five furlongs, angled out four wide to
go after the winner leaving the second turn, vied with that one to the
furlong marker but weakened in the final sixteenth while easily second best.
GLOBAL TRADER was well placed but failed to gain in the drive. MEDIGATING
(FR) stalked the leader inside, got through on the second turn to draw even
for the lead passing the quarter pole but weakened in the final furlong.
CRIMINAL MIND never threatened. COYOTESHIGHESTCALL was no factor. NICANDRO
bobbled at the break, rushed up to press the pace for six furlongs then
stopped. |
