JAY'S SUAVE rated off the pace after bumping with LOOKIN FOR BISCUIT at the start, raced four wide on the turn, rallied to gain the lead nearing the sixteenth pole and was under pressure to hold LOOKIN FOR BISCUIT safe. The latter, reserved off the pace after bumping with JAY'S SUAVE at the start, angled out for the drive and was gaining on the winner at the finish. BLACKFEET vied for the lead outside DARLINGTON GUARD to nearing the sixteenth pole and gave way. DARLINGTON GUARD vied for the lead along the inside to past the eighth pole, then tired. CATMEIFYOUCAN tracked the pace along the inside into the stretch and faltered. SKIP THE WEDDING was no factor while racing four wide. MONSTER AFFAIR was never a threat while racing three wide. QUICK RUNNER failed to menace. RIZZI FAX saved ground and faltered. MIACOMET showed brief speed, raced three wide on the turn and faded.

HOLD THE SALT chased the pace, angled out and rallied to catch GOLD STREET BLUES at the eighth pole, then dueled with that rival to the wire and prevailed. GOLD STREET BLUES pressed the pace outside HONORABLE LIFE, moved to gain the lead entering the stretch, then dueled with HOLD THE SALT through the final eighth and was just edged to the wire. WALL STREET reserved off the pace, raced three wide on the turn and was gaining on the top ones at the wire. HANGING CURVE tracked the pace along the inside into the stretch and tired. HONORABLE LIFE set the pace under pressure along the rail into the stretch and gave way. TALLEVAST saved ground to no avail. R B'S FUTURE off slowly, was not a factor. BIPOLAR failed to menace. Race Summary

TADREEB rated off the pace, was steadied in traffic in midstretch, angled to the rail and rallied to take over inside the eighth pole, then was fully extended to hold off GUILLAUME TELL (IRE). The latter, allowed to settle, angled to the outside for the stretch run and rallied to gain the place while unable to get to the winner. KARELIAN outrun early, angled out in the stretch run and closed well to be up for the show. STARSHIP ZIM unhurried early, raced three wide on the far turn and finished willingly while being edged for the show. MR. CONGENIALITY rated off the pace after breaking slowly, raced four wide on the far turn and had no response in the drive. PAYMENT IN KIND chased the pace to midstretch and gave way. OUR FRIEND TIMMY steadied in behind TEPEXPAN on the first turn, saved ground into the far turn and failed to menace. FIRE PATH showed speed along the rail, responded when challenged by SKIP'S SONG, vied with that rival to inside the eighth pole and tired. SKIP'S SONG chased pace, moved up on the backstretch to vie for the lead outside FIRE PATH but had nothing left for the final eighth. TEPEXPAN chased the pace along the rail to midstretch and faltered. SUMMER MAN chased the pace three wide into the stretch, then was steadied from tight quarters nearing the eighth pole and faded. CALL MY BLUFF off slowly, trailed and was eased in the final eighth. (The rail on the turf course was set at 84 feet).

LOST IN THE FOG showed speed off the rail, drew clear approaching the quarter pole, then responded when set down for the drive and increased his margin to the wire. SANTANA STRINGS unhurried after being steadied at the start, saved ground into the stretch, angled outside LUCKY FROLIC and closed to prove second best while no threat to the winner. LUCKY FROLIC stumbled at the start, moved up to chase the pace along the rail, advanced to reach the attending position in the stretch, then gave way. B. B. BEST outrun after being steadied in the early going, passed tired rivals along the inside in the drive. RUN THRUTHE SUN raced with the pace four wide to midway of the turn, then tired. KRUEL INTENTION raced in striking position around the turn, then couldn't keep pace in the drive. SEIZE THE DAY was not a factor. BUSHWACKER pressed the pace outside LOST IN THE FOG to midway of the turn and faltered. PRIMITIVE MAN raced four wide around the turn and faded. PACKY was through early.

Race Summary

HOT STORM prompted the pace four wide on the backstretch and turn, took the lead outside foes into the stretch, inched clear, drifted out but held gamely under urging. SHE'S A JEWEL stalked a bit off the rail then inside, came out leaving the turn and five wide into the stretch and finished gamely to just miss. MEMORETTE bobbled a bit at the start, settled inside, split rivals on the turn, also came five wide into the stretch and closed willingly. KOHAR chased a bit off the rail then inside, came out on the turn and four wide into the stretch and bested the others. HELLO LUCKY chased off the rail then between horses on the backstretch and turn, continued outside a rival into the stretch and lacked the needed rally. COASTAL STRIKE forced the pace three deep between horses to the stretch and weakened. SHORT ROUTE settled outside on the backstretch, went three deep between foes on the turn and into the stretch and did not rally. KASH KLIP off a bit slowly, went up between rivals on the backstretch, continued inside on the turn and in the stretch and could not summon the necessary response. ELEVENTH STREET went up inside to duel for the lead, fought back on the turn but weakened in the drive. BROOKE'S HALO vied for command between horses, dropped back into the stretch and also weakened. RUNNING BOBCATS chased outside then four wide on the backstretch and turn and into the stretch and lacked a further response. YODELADYTOO steadied when squeezed after the start, settled three deep then off the rail on the turn and was not a threat.

BIG TOP CAT went up inside to duel for the lead, battled along the rail on the turn, inched away in midstretch, kicked clear and held under urging. SURF CAT unhurried off the rail on the backstretch and outside on the turn, came five wide into the stretch and closed with a rush to just miss. FREEHOLDER sped to a clear early lead, dueled between horses then outside the winner on the turn and into the stretch and weakened some in the final furlong but held third. COMMANDANT saved ground chasing the pace, came out leaving the turn and three deep into the stretch and lacked the needed rally. BRAVE CHARMER stalked outside on the backstretch and into the turn, continued off the rail and a bit wide into the stretch and weakened. MASS TRANSIT went up between horses on the backstretch to press the pace, stalked inside on the turn and weakened in the stretch. CHERONO broke slowly, settled a bit off the rail, split horses on the turn, came out a bit wide into the stretch and was not a threat. NEWTON JOHN also broke slowly, settled outside, angled in leaving the turn and was not a threat. JUST MY GAME stalked the pace off the rail then outside a rival early on the turn, angled in leaving the bend and gave way.

SWEET GAZELLE saved ground off the pace, moved up some on the turn, continued inside and lacked the needed late kick. GLORY TO THE TOP bobbled at the start, settled off the rail then three deep, came four wide into the stretch and improved position. MISS ROSIE wide between horses early, prompted the pace outside a rival then stalked outside the winner, was fanned four wide into the stretch and weakened. LATIN LUMINOSA sped to the early lead, set the pace a bit off the rail, drifted out into the stretch and also weakened. PROUD SUZETT stalked off the rail then outside a rival, came out into the stretch and lacked a further response. FOREVER AMERICAN off a bit slowly, saved ground to no avail. SLEW'S BRIDALBELLE wide early, stalked between horses, dropped back on the turn and weakened. RUFFETT allowed to settle off the rail then outside, came three deep into the stretch and did not rally.
