Race Summary

PINPOINT cleared early, set the pace under rating two wide, was joined from the inside by KILLENAULE near the four and a half furlong marker, dueled, disposed of that one mid way on the final turn, held a clear lead nearing the eighth pole then dug in tenaciously under pressure to turn back SMOKESCREEN. SMOKESCREEN , steadied when in tight between rivals past the seven furlong marker, raced under stout rating past the three quarter pole, made a rail run into the far turn, angled out three wide after six furlongs, made a run at the winner leaving the furlong marker, battled gamely but could not get past. KILLENAULE stalked the pace along the inside, lodged a bid inside of the winner near the four and a half furlong pole, dueled, dropped back a bit after six furlongs, shifted out in mid stretch then came up empty. REEL LEGEND , pinched back at the break, was used four wide to advance nearing the far turn, chased the pace into the lane and came up empty. MONSTER CHASER , between rivals early, dropped back a bit entering the far turn, swung out five wide for the drive, finished willingly but was no threat. RUSSIAN BAY , forwardly placed three wide between rivals to the far turn, failed to respond. SUNSHINE STALKER , three wide the first turn, stalked the pace between rivals, continued three around the final turn and gave way. B TRICK lost ground and faltered leaving the far turn.
