Conditions: 1 1/16M Dirt. Rebel S. (Grade 3). THREE YEAR OLDS. By subscription of $200 which shall accompany the nomination, original nominators paying $2,000 to pass the entry box and $2,000 additional to start. Supplementary nominations may be made by the closing time of entries at a fee of $12,500 which qualifies to start with $250,000 Guaranteed of which $150,000 to the owner of the winner, $50,000 to second, $25,000 to third, $12,500 to fourth, $7,500 to fifth and $5,000 to sixth. WEIGHTS: 122 lbs. Non-winners of $50,000 at a mile or over in 2005 allowed 3 lbs.; $40,000 at a mile or over anytime 5 lbs.; $18,000 at any distance 7 lbs. (Maiden and Claiming races not considered.) In Allowance Stakes starting preference will be given to horses that have accumulated the highest earnings, excluding money won in restricted races. Starters to be named through the entry box by the usual time of closing. The Owner of the winner to receive a trophy. Early Bird closing Saturday, February 12, 2005 at $250 for both The Rebel and The Arkansas Derby. Nominations Closed Friday, March 11, 2005 with 94 Nominees.

Race Summary

GREATER GOOD showed the way into the first turn, gave up the advantage soon after, settled, asked for some run on the outside into the stretch, engaged the leader with a sixteenth to run, wore that foe down. ROCKPORT HARBOR bobbled then bumped with COPY MY NOTES soon after, moved outside, took over and quickly got clear before a quarter, set the pace while firmly in hand, responded when challenged deep stretch, gave ground grudgingly. BATSON CHALLENGE off the pace, moved with the winner toward the front exiting the final turn, altered course to the rail, not enough late. COPY MY NOTES bumped by the runner up just after the start, went evenly placed and was no real threat. JAZZY GALLOP lacked speed, failed to rally. AFLEET ALEX away in good order, chased the leader toward the inside, asked for run into the stretch, gave way suddenly three sixteenths out.
