Race Summary

AFLEET ALEX was angled towards the inside soon after start, gained a rail position down the backstretch, followed GREELEY'S GALAXY into and around the far turn while saving ground, angled out three to four wide leaving the five sixteenth's pole, stumbled badly when clipping the heels of SCRAPPY T entering the stretch, quickly recovered, angled inside of that rival, surged to command a furlong out then drew clear under steady right handed pressure. SCRAPPY T was rated back off of the leaders entering the first turn, prompted the issue under rating along the rail, eased out and lodged a two wide bid around the far turn, moved to a clear advantage after six and a half furlongs, ducked out when roused left handed entering the stretch, dueled briefly nearing the eighth pole then was taken in hand late while clearly second best. GIACOMO, sluggish early while four wide around the first turn, was put to urging nearing the far turn, raced between rivals nearing the stretch, eased out and worked his way between foes leaving the eighth pole and continued on with good energy. SUN KING, between rivals early in mid pack, was angled to the rail around the final turn, angled back out for the drive, made a mild run to mid stretch then flattened out. HIGH LIMIT gained command between rivals, angled over towards the inside, set a pressured pace into the far turn, remained a presence to the quarter pole then gave way. NOBLE CAUSEWAY, bumped at the break, lacked speed while six wide down the backstretch, angled in some around the final turn then failed to generate a solid response. GREELEY'S GALAXY broke inward making contact with NOBLE CAUSEWAY, angled towards the inside, made a steady run along the rail into the far turn, angled out leaving the three furlong marker then had no further response. MALIBU MOONSHINE saved ground in an even effort. CLOSING ARGUMENT stalked the pace off the rail, was urged along between rivals around the far turn then tired after seven furlongs. HIGH FLY lost ground four to five wide, failed to make a serious impact and tired while not abused late. HAL'S IMAGE lacked speed, came six wide for the drive and failed to menace. WILKO lost ground four wide, chased the pace to the far turn, faltered and was eased in the final furlong. GALLOPING GROCER was steadied in close quarters entering the first turn, prompted the pace three to four wide, was put to strong urging around the far turn, faltered nearing the stretch and was eased late. GOING WILD was hustled up to contention, pressed the pace outside HIGH LIMIT, raced three wide into the far turn and stopped after six furlongs.
