Race Summary

MADDALENA raced with the pace three wide, moved to gain command midway of the turn, then drew off under pressure. ALFONSINA chased the pace around the turn, then was no match for the winner while closing to be up for the place. ASPEN TREE rated off the pace, angled out for the stretch run and gained the show. GREAT INTENTIONS chased the pace four wide to nearing the stretch, then tired. PORTSEA showed speed along the inside to midway of the turn and faltered. GLITTERING TAX ducked out at the start, raced four wide on the turn and faded. TOLL TAKER trailed after hitting the gate at the start.
