Race Summary

BURNISH , between rivals into the turn, chased the leaders off the rail on the turn, angled out five wide in upper stretch, surged to command a sixteenth out and drew clear under a drive. PARTNERS DUE prompted the pace three wide under rating, took command nearing the quarter pole, drew clear in upper stretch, was collared approaching the sixteenth marker and gave way grudgingly. HOT STORM had speed from the gate, steadied behind the leaders into the turn, chased around the turn, came four wide for the drive and lacked a response. FLOWERBUD , brushed leaving the gate, was urged along while saving ground, angled out in the lane but failed to mount a serious rally. HEAR US ROAR lost ground five wide and failed to menace. MISSILE BAY broke sharply, set the pace along the inside, dueled into the lane then gave way in mid stretch. MADDALENA broke inward and brushed with FLOWERBUD, raced four wide around the turn and failed to threaten.
