Race Summary

CONVEYOR'S ANGEL was permitted to lag in the early going from the outside, remained out into the second turn and circled rivals four wide while advancing, offered a quick bid to challenge ISLAND ESCAPE from the extreme outside at the furlong pole then outbattled that rival to the line. ISLAND ESCAPE stalked the dueling pacemakers three wide to the second turn, rallied to the lead in the upper stretch, met the winner's bid at the furlong pole, dueled gamely but could not quite match strides in the late going. THRILLING VICTORY was never too far back while racing two wide, remained a serious factor two wide on the second turn but lacked the needed response. TENSE WAGER took back early and raced unhurried, checked inside CRYPTO'S WILD into the second turn but quickly recovered, came two wide to the stretch and finished in a mild rally. CRYPTO'S WILD lagged early, raced three wide on the second turn but failed to reach contention. MISSILE TONE was well placed from the rail to the stretch then came up empty. JILL'S SKY prompted the pace two wide for six furlongs and weakened. REGAL BOOT broke through he gate prior to the start, then was away quickly to set a pressured from the rail to the stretch but had nothing left.
