Race Summary

UNCLE DENNY raced up outside VASILIAS into the first turn and contested the pace between horses, forged to the front from off the rail on the second turn, drew clear in the upper stretch then held driving. WANNAWINEMALL was not asked for speed early while racing along inside, advanced gradually into the second turn, swung to the extreme outside and followed BUZZARDS BAY into the stretch five wide, continued to respond in the lane and closed steadily. BUZZARDS BAY raced unhurried early from off the rail, commenced his bid five wide on the second turn, rallied steadily to the deep stretch then lost some of punch. CUSTOMER was always forwardly placed while racing outside company, remained out on the second turn to be four wide to the stretch but finished evenly. SHARP WRITER was bumped then squeezed at the start and took back to be void of speed to the second turn, angled out for the drive and finished steadily. BIG TOP CAT prompted the pace three wide for six furlongs then had little left. STORMIN AWAY stalked the pace from the inside to the second turn and came up empty. VASILIAS dueled from the rail to the second turn and nothing left. WIND WATER broke into SHARP WRITER at the start and was checked then was forced wide to the backstretch from mid pack, offered an early bid four wide to the second turn but faded steadily. STELLAR MAGIC was permitted to settle early, advanced gradually to the second turn, steadied off heels approaching the quarter pole then fell from contention.
