Conditions: 1 1/16M Turf. Edgewood S.. FOR FILLIES, THREE YEARS OLD. By subscription of $100 each on or before April 9, 2005 or by Supplementary Nomination of $5,000 at time of entry. $500 to pass the entry box; $500 additional to start, with $100,000 added of which 62% of all monies to the owner of the winner, 20% to second, 10% to third, 5% to fourth and 3% to fifth. Weight 122 lbs. Non-winners of a sweepstakes on the turf allowed 2 lbs.; three races other than maiden or claiming, 4 lbs.; two races other than maiden or claiming, 6 lbs. If the race is moved to the main track after time of closing, a horse may be scratched for any reason at any time up to fifteen (15) minutes prior to post time for the race preceding this race or thereafter with a valid physical reason and approved bythe stewards. The entry fee shall be refunded for scratches made in compliance with the above conditions. Starters to be named through the entry box at the usual time of closing. Race Summary

SWEET TALKER, reserved early and nicely placed near the inside, saved ground when rallying, was asked for her best leaving the five-sixteenths pole, took over, quickly drew clear, then was hard ridden to hold sway. RICH IN SPIRIT, taken in hand early, was positioned near the inside, moved out four wide on the backstretch, angled seven wide for the drive and was closing well at the end. INSAN MALA (IRE) ducked out at the start and bumped DEFENSA (GER), was in turn bumped soon after when POMMES FRITTES came out, raced very near the hedge on the far turn, was steadied sharply at the quarter-mile ground when lacking room, then finished willingly after daylight appeared along the inside. CAPE HOPE, well placed from early on while racing near the inside between foes, was put to a drive entering the upper stretch, remained prominent into the final furlong but was empty. DYNAMITE LASS eased off the inside to follow the pace three or four wide, was shuffled back in the upper stretch when lacking room and continued between foes when clear for her position. POMMES FRITES ducked out at the start jolting INSAN MALA (IRE), went up soon after to press front-running BRETT'S FAVRETTE, reached the front midway on the backstretch, battled close up to the lane and weakened. BRETT'S FAVRETTE gained a slight edge early while dueling inside of POMMES FRITES, dueled until the final quarter and weakened. DEFENSA (GER), bumped at the start, followed the pace in a striking position four or five wide to the stretch and weakened.
