Footnotes

WILKO settled on the outside while three wide, made a four wide bid leaving the backstretch, moved to three wide midway through the turn, dropped back passing the quarter-pole, rallied again outside the furlong marker, surged to the lead near the sixteenth-pole and inched clear under steady left hand encouragement. AFLEET ALEX bobbled at the start then bumped with CONSOLIDATOR and ROMAN RULER, shifted four wide early on the initial turn, settled on the outside, engaged the leaders while five wide leaving the backstretch, dropped to four wide midway through the turn, took the lead passing the quarter-pole, led gamely into the final furlong, was collared near the sixteenth-pole then outfinished. SUN KING was rated while eager to run on the inside, settled a bit on the backstretch, moved through to contest the lead leaving the backstretch, dueled through the turn, bumped with CONSOLIDATOR in upper stretch, battled gamely into the final sixteenth and weakened slightly. CONSOLIDATOR was bumped at the start, tracked the pace on the outside, made a bid between rivals entering the far turn, dueled into the stretch, bumped with SUN KING inside the three-sixteenths marker, fought determinedly into the final sixteenth and gave way grudgingly. ROMAN RULER bumped with AFLEET ALEX after the start, steadied off heels approaching the first turn, continued just off heels into the backstretch, was hard held near the back of the field, saved ground on the far turn, angled out sharply near the furlong marker and came up empty. PROUD ACCOLADE leaned out at the start, settled between rivals, came under a ride leaving the backstretch, moved around TWICE UNBRIDLED midway through the turn and failed to respond. TWICE UNBRIDLED set the pace under moderate pressure, steadied while being passed with three furlongs to run and stopped. SCANDINAVIA hesitated at the start, raced three wide on the first turn, was reserved near the back of the field, roused while three wide on the far turn, moved to four wide near the quarter-pole and had nothing left.

Footnotes

SWEET CATOMINE raced in traffic between horses while four wide on the first turn, was unhurried along the backstretch, launched a rally between horses leaving the far turn, steadied sharply while lacking room midway on the turn, swung between horses for clear sailing at the top of the stretch, made a strong run to challenge while drifting in a bit nearing the furlong marker, took control approaching the sixteenth pole then drew away with authority through the final seventy yards. BALLETTO settled in good position in the early stages, raced just behind the leaders while saving ground along the backstretch, angled three wide on the far turn, ranged up from outside to challenge on the turn, battled between horses into upper stretch, was in a bit tight while dueling for the lead in midstretch then continued on well to best the others. RUNWAY MODEL settled in the middle of the pack for six furlongs, moved around rivals while rallying on the far turn, lacked room while saving ground at the top of the stretch, steadied in traffic between horses and the eighth pole and again a sixteenth out and failed to threaten thereafter. SIS CITY was carried wide on the first turn, pressed the pace from outside for five furlongs, surged to the front on the far turn, continued on the lead into upper stretch, battled heads apart into midstretch then weakened under pressure in the final eighth. DANCE AWAY CAPOTE, broke a bit slowly was bounced away between horses while in tight on the first turn, raced well back for six furlongs, closed the gap midway on the turn, steadied while blocked in traffic at the five-sixteenths pole, made a run to reach contention in upper stretch then lacked a strong closing response. SHARP LISA was strung out four wide on the first turn, continued wide while in the middle of the pack to the far turn, lodged a mild bid while being forced six wide at the quarter pole then flattened out. CULINARY settled just off the early pace, moved into contention while four wide leaving the backstretch, raced just off the pace while being carried five wide on the turn then faded in the stretch. PLAY WITH FIRE failed to mount a serious rally while four wide. SENSE OF STYLE broke in the air at the start while coming away awkwardly, was bumped along the inside on the first turn, raced well back for six furlongs, was behind a wall of horses on the turn then lacked the needed response when called upon. CULTURE CLASH broke outward and steadied at the start and was never close thereafter. MONA LISA broke in the air at the start and never reached contention. HIGHER WORLD drifted out while taking the lead on the first turn, dueled along the inside for five furlongs and gave way.
