Race Summary

INDIAN OCEAN bobbled slightly at the start, prompted the early pace outside a rival then stalked between horses, bid three deep between foes leaving the backstretch and on the second turn and into the stretch, gained a short lead in the drive and gamely prevailed under some urging. SURF CAT stalked three deep then outside on the backstretch, bid four wide approaching and through the second turn and into the stretch and continued willingly outside the winner. DOVER DERE sent inside to the early lead, inched away leaving the first turn, dueled between horses into and on the second turn and past midstretch, then could not match the top pair late. BUZZARDS BAY chased off the rail then angled in and stalked inside, steadied briefly then got through along the fence into the second turn, took a short lead, dueled inside, fought back to midstretch but weakened in the final furlong.
